What he doesn't know is that he's going the wrong way, and is confronted by a horde of Mechon, who proceed to kill him. However, during the battle, after the tutorial, he betrays Dunban and Dickson to pull the line to Colony 6. He's one of the first characters we are introduced to during the prologue, along with Dunban and Dickson, who he is partners with and fight alongside during the Battle of Sword Valley.
